Sure, the higher pen of the T29 gun could help dealing more damage, but the raw output, the russian guns are ahead. And if you trade alpha for dpm and take the 100mm instead of 122mm gun (as I did on the IS as imo it supplements the higher mobility), the russians deal significantly more dpm at same penetration. Well, not sure what numbers you got, but although the difference is little, for me the dpm of 400dmg at 4.17rpm is higher than 310dmg at 5.21rpm. Also, it can side scrape pretty well with that fat track and curved bottom hull

While imo mobility is most of the time better than armor, you might not totally neglect heavy tanks, on tier7 the choice would fall into Tiger (P) (for the gun stats, and great frontal armor), IS (mobility, alpha-dmg and good all-around armor) or KV-3 (alpha-dmg and tough armor).Ĭan't say much about TDs as I not really play them in Blitz. depression/elevation) is problematic for me and my preferred drive-by shooting playstyle, as the smallest bumb on the road will make you miss.
